Recently I was approached by clients who needed a pic for their portfolio and website. After a short meeting I give them a quote. Their response was to to suggest that I could use the images for my portfolio and a promise of more work in the future. I would give them a CD/DVD of all the images. I know there are people who would have jumped a such offers. I turn the offer down.
This client was created by other photographers, designer and etc, who has under valued their talents and work. We spend years of our live and thousands of dollars on equipment and training to create a business. And yet some of us will give it away so some one else can make a living while we pay the bills.
We need to start adding value and respect to our crafts. Stop offering Time For CD.
